MERCEDES 2.7L TURBO DIESEL! Enjoy the sought-after 5-cylinder Mercedes diesel with NO DEF SYSTEM and no DEF-related engine codes to worry about. A compact, versatile Class B motorhome combining Mercedes engineering with the freedom to travel. A great choice for buyers who prefer the simplicity of an older, pre-DEF Sprinter!
This 2004 Pleasure-Way Plateau TS Class-B motorhome, built on the legendary 2003 Mercedes-Benz 2.7L 5-cylinder turbo diesel Sprinter, averages around 22 MPG and is easy to drive and park anywhere. The body shows 103k miles, while the replacement engine has only 50k miles installed by a professional San Diego Sprinter specialist after a rigorous inspection due to low power and an oil leak from the original motor. Recent improvements include $7,500 replacement engine, $2,000 new tires (100 miles), $3,000 new brakes, $300 new battery, $2,800 new underbody paint, $400 backup camera, and the LP generator fully overhauled with only 67 hours ($1,800).
Inside, the Plateau is beautifully designed to maximize comfort in a compact space. It features a Dometic 3-way refrigerator, kitchenette with sink, countertop, microwave/convection oven, and 2-burner stove, plus a full bathroom with toilet, vanity, sink, and shower. Additional amenities include furnace, air conditioning, water heater, generator, and awning. The ultra-leather seating and swivel passenger seat create a spacious lounge area, while the rear dinette easily converts into a large 74" x 68" queen bed. This well-maintained Pleasure-Way is a luxury Class-B camper ready for road trips, off-grid adventures, or comfortable travel anywhere in the country.
